Who we are

This policy explains how TurboBuild handles the personal information you give us when you submit an enquiry through this website. For any privacy question, contact us at Contact@TurboBuild.co.uk.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address, preferred contact method, enquiry type, vehicle registration, turbo or OE reference numbers, your notes, and any photographs you choose to upload. We also record the date of the enquiry and, where relevant, the product or vehicle search the enquiry was started from.

Why we collect it and how we use it

We use this information only to identify the correct part or service, respond to your enquiry, provide a quotation and keep a record of our correspondence with you. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Who can access your information

Enquiries are visible only to authorised TurboBuild staff who sign in to our administration system with an administrator account. Members of the public and other customers cannot view enquiries. When a new enquiry arrives, staff receive an email notification containing the reference number, enquiry type, your name and the date received. Your contact details and photographs are not included in that email.

Your photographs

Photographs you upload are stored in private storage, separate from our public product images. They have no public web address. Authorised staff open them through temporary links that are created only after they sign in and that expire after 10 minutes.

How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry records, including photographs, for up to 24 months after our last contact with you so that we can deal with follow-up questions, warranty matters and repeat orders. After that period the record is deleted. If your enquiry leads to an order, related records may be kept for longer where we are required to keep them for accounting or legal purposes.

Service providers

Our website, database, private file storage and notification emails are provided through Base44, the platform we use to build and host this website. Base44 stores and processes enquiry information on our behalf to run the website.

WhatsApp

If you contact us on WhatsApp, the conversation is handled through WhatsApp under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. WhatsApp messages are not automatically saved in our website Enquiries system and do not receive an enquiry reference number.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, email Contact@TurboBuild.co.uk and include your enquiry reference number if you have one. We will reply as soon as possible.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
